Our final day

So, Sunday, was nice after all of the traveling we were able to sleep from all of the excitement.  The team did a devotional lead by, Luke Jensen, while enjoying an American style breakfast (pancakes, French toast, oatmeal.)  Our fearless leaders, Bess and Brenda, arranged transportation to the first church for us, where we enjoyed singing, worship, fellowship, with our camp leaders.  Our awesome translator, Lia with the help from Ignacio, did a fabulous job bridging the gap in the language barrier. Luke, spoke on transformation and Christ's ride into the City before crucifixion, and the Rise three days later. Afterwards we enjoyed yet another fantastic homemade meal, before experiencing public transportation and multiple buses to get us to a Mexico City open market, where some of the team purchased souvenir's, churros, ice cream, cotton candy.  We spent a few moments in one of their Cathedrals where many people were worshiping idols of Christ, images, along with enormous and beautiful structures but nonetheless not the true Risen Christ as the major population of Mexico City does not know what they believe in and the younger generations do not feel the need for a Savior.  They need your continual prayer that they will see the True Christ and who HE can be for them.  Sunday night was an experience as it was the first time the language barrier did inhibit us from accurate communication as, I, through, Lia, were trying to explain a group game which did not come across as we enjoy the fun of getting the game wrong and created many laughs.  One of the greatest parts of the trip for me came Sunday night as one youth came to Christ a few days prior and was announced to the group Sunday night after Lia Spoke about not being legalistic but having love for people.  Once again the service was followed by another delicious meal provided for us, where I tried some pickled pigs feet for the first time, the texture was very interesting but not too bad.  Sunday night ended late back at the hotel where the team spent the last few moments together, packing, and much needed rest as everybody gave all of their energy to the Kingdom.  Quick to bed quick to rise as we only had a few hours of sleep before our rides were back to get us to end our journey at the airport for an early flight back to the states Monday morning.
